Steve Olson

Steve served 38 years in education in a variety of leadership capacities including teacher, counselor, athletic director, principal while culminating his final six years as superintendent of Community High School District 155 in Illinois. As a respected educator who maintained a reputation of putting students first, while leading with integrity; he facilitated a five-year strategic plan resulting in a mission statement driven by “Enter With Promise. Leave With Purpose.” Steve was bestowed with the UW-LaCrosse Alumni Award recognizing outstanding educators and significant contributors to the field of education. Upon participating in the Transformational Leadership process, Steve was inspired by this unique model on both a personal and professional level leading to his desire to continue serving driven leaders in their development at InitiativeOne. Steve lives in the Chicagoland area where he and his wife Joan raised their four children.
